WoodSyn, an emerging leader in sustainable construction materials based in Arizona, is revolutionizing the construction industry with its OptimWall™ Panels and OptimWall™ Building System. The system utilizes proven wood wool cement technology, now branded as OptimWall™, and transforms small-diameter trees, a ladder fuel for wildfires, into a carbon-sequestering construction material while reducing the cost and time of construction . We address the critical issue of catastrophic forest fires while providing a solution for the pressing need for quality, attainable housing, filling a crucial gap in the U.S. market for Workforce and Affordable housing. WoodSyn's holistic approach embodies a triple-bottom-line philosophy, delivering economic, environmental, and social value by providing healthier, energy-efficient homes while promoting the adoption of sustainable construction materials across the construction industry.
Building with OptimWall™ reduces construction time, material, and labor costs. OptimWall™ Panels are fire, moisture, and insect resistant while providing high thermal value and act as a carbon sink. OptimWall™ is the solution that reduces construction time, reduces cost of construction, and is a sustainable construction material.
reduce construction time
Throughout the OptimWall™ product life cycle, WoodSyn is committed to optimizing resource consumption and zero-carbon processes to ensure that our OptimWall™ products contribute economic, environmental, and social value to the communities we serve.
sustainable construction materials
Construction companies struggle to adapt to a volatile lumber supply chain suffering from manufacturing capacity, weather, policy, and regional conflicts. Volatile supply chain issues make it difficult to obtain building materials consistently and account for price fluctuations when planning building projects. OptimWall™ panels reduce construction time and reduce cost of construction.
Our manufacturing facilities are being built close to the natural resources we require, trees and cement, along with rail and highway access. We control the supply chain from harvest through production, reducing the supply chain costs.

Lower labor and material costs - Three people and a small crane can stand up the walls of a home in one-half of a day. In addition, WWC construction requires less construction material and labor costs, often coming in 30% lower than traditional building methods.

Each year seems to set a new record for catastrophic forest fires wreaking havoc on North America’s forests and communities. Small diameter trees and dry vegetation act as a natural accelerant, feeding and fueling the fire until it spirals uncontrollably. Wildfires rapidly devour hundreds of thousands of acres of wildlife habitat, entire homes, and communities while causing billions of dollars in damage each year.
Our manufacturing plants will be located where forest thinning must take place to reduce catastrophic forest fires. In addition to the manufacturing jobs, our industry will create additional forestry operations, transportation, and support jobs in multiple rural areas. We manufacture sustainable construction materials
We are introducing technology that has matured from a labor-intensive, small volume, with limited use, into a series of building products, both structural and non-structural. The feedstock to our manufacturing plant is small-diameter timber that currently does not have value in North America.
The US is in the middle of a severe housing shortage, making it even harder for Americans to afford homes. With interest rates increasing, conditions are now even worse for all levels of prospective homeowners. According to the Census Bureau, building permits for new residential construction dropped to a five-month low in April 2022. Statistically, the United States needs 1.5 million new homes built yearly to maintain the new demand for housing.
Our prefab technology provides for very efficient and fast construction of single and two-story houses, schools, community and medical centers, and multi-story apartment buildings.
Three people can set the walls and roof joists in a half day using Large Element Wood Wool Cement as construction material. As a result, the construction time, material, and labor costs are significantly lower than traditional building methods.
The built environment generates nearly 50% of annual global CO2 emissions. Building materials and construction (typically embodied carbon) are responsible for approximately 20% of emissions annually. Building operations are responsible for 27% of the total built environment emissions.
The combination of new cement types being produced today and the adoption of renewable energy to power production will enable WoodSyn to manufacture wood wool cement products that are carbon-negative. We are researching production materials that include cellulose nanomaterial and biochar so we can enhance the structural and environmental value of our products.
Our wood wool cement (WWC) products contain no hazardous substances; WWC is from the Earth and for the Earth. At WoodSyn, we embrace the Cradle-to-Cradle sustainability strategy. Our WWC products can be returned to nature as compost or recycled into alternative buildings.
We live and work by the philosophy of doing well by doing good. We are creating Wood Synergy.
Our mission is to cultivate an ecosystem that nourishes its economic and environmental value through the transformation of low-value biomass into healthy living and working structures.
At WoodSyn, we are creating a new industry in North America by transforming small diameter timber, with no economic value, into sustainable building material. As a result, we are creating quality jobs and superior construction materials that produce healthy buildings.
